Thermologistic Upgrades Its Fleet

The Frankfurt temperature-controlled logistics company wants to increase its turnover with more trailers

Frankfurt – December 2, 2019 – Thermologistic expands its trailer fleet. The Frankfurt-based temperature-controlled logistics company is reacting to the strong demand for temperature-controlled transports. The new investment comprises 13 trailers of the latest design. The new units are equipped with double-deck technology and roller beds, and some of them also have partitions for bi-tempered transports. In addition, the trailers are equipped with a GPS transmitter. As a result of the new acquisition, the fleet of Thermologistic grows to a total of 40 vehicles, which are moved by partner service providers nationally and internationally. The investment amount is around 800,000 euros. In addition, the company is creating two new jobs at the freight center of Frankfurt Airport.

With the expansion of its fleet, Thermologistic meets the requirements of the growing market for combined air freight transport. The trailers equipped with roller beds guarantee high flexibility and fast loading and unloading of temperature-controlled air cargo. This is especially important for perishable goods, such as fruits, vegetables, meat or drugs. Handling and handling times, for example at the Perishable Center at Frankfurt Airport, are considerably reduced by the vehicles specially equipped for air freight traffic.

“The new optimized trailers will make us even faster and more efficient. Only by expanding our fleet will we be able to meet the high demands of our customers with increasing traffic density “, says Bernd Schmied, Managing Director of Thermologistic. With the fleet expansion, the transporter also wants to improve its market position. The company, which is certified according to ISO 9001: 2015 and IFS Logistics, expects an increase in turnover of around 50 percent.
