Thermotraffic further expands in Germany
The logistics company from Versmold opens a branch office at Frankfurt airport
Versmold – March 25, 2015 – Thermotraffic, the international logistics company for temperature-controlled transports, expands its airfreight-related transport activities by opening a branch office at the Perishable Center Frankfurt at Frankfurt airport in April. Their future offer includes the organization and handling of all transport and warehousing services for perishable goods which are being transported by air. As the office is located directly at the airport, quick handling of all temperature-controlled transports is guaranteed. Their cross docking services before and/or after the flights between the airport and the good’s destination and vice versa are at the center of attention.
By being presented at Frankfurt airport and expanding its air-freight related services, Thermotraffic closes the gap between overland transports and air freight. In the future, total logistics solutions in all combinations can thus be offered by Thermotraffic. An IATA agent on site is going to support Thermotraffic’s work at their local branch office.
As far as air freight is concerned, Thermotraffic expects a high level of growth. This applies to new customers as well as to already existing customers. The demand for quicker transport solutions is increasing. The consignors and consignees of herbal primary products or perishable goods more and more often ship their products by air. This can especially be seen in the pharmaceutical industry as well due to their pharmaceuticals’ oftentimes limited shelf life. By expanding its service portfolio, Thermotraffic intends to strengthen its market position in this sector.

Especially in pharmaceutical logistics, the quick transportation of temperature-controlled goods by plane is gaining importance.
