Thermologistic expands its fleet of vehicles

The Frankfurt-based logistics company invests 2.2 million euros in new equipment

Frankfurt am Main, 30. January 2023. The internationally operating logistics company Thermologistic is investing in the expansion of its vehicle fleet. The Frankfurt-based company is expanding its fleet with 19 Euro 6 tractor units and 2 special trailers. The investment sum for the new vehicles is put by Thermologistic at 2.2 million euros. At the same time, the company is creating 5 additional jobs by hiring new truck drivers. By investing in machinery and personnel, Thermologistic aims to increase its turnover by around 15 percent in the medium term. With the vehicles, the fleet will grow to a total of 30 tractor units and 40 trailers. Delivery of the new trucks is scheduled to be completed this summer.

The new tractor units that will roll over the roads for Thermologistic in the future are 12 vehicles from DAF and 7 from Volvo. All of them comply with the environmentally friendly Euro 6 standard and are also equipped with adjustable fifth wheels and safety systems such as turning assistants, etc. For the new trailers, the company opted for mega refrigerated trailers with roller bed and deep-freeze equipment.

The new trailers can be used in a variety of ways. They are suitable for transporting extra-wide air freight containers as well as general cargo or valuable goods and, of course, frozen freight. In the future, the new vehicles will serve transports in Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Belgium and Poland as well as in Switzerland and the Netherlands.

In expanding its fleet, Thermologistic is focusing on efficiency and productivity, and doing so sustainably. “With the modern Euro 6 vehicles, we will significantly reduce fleet consumption and also do something for climate protection. The additional transport capacities will make us less dependent on the spot market and enable us to generate further sales,” says Bernd Schmied, the managing director of Thermologistic.

With the renewal and expansion of its vehicle fleet, Thermologistic considers itself well equipped. The company can respond quickly to the renewed increase in demand for effective transport solutions – and do so sustainably thanks to state-of-the-art vehicles.
