“Stay focused to make big things happen.”

Branch. “During the new financial year the order situation has normalized again and many orders from last year are currently being processed under high pressure. The positive trend in the construction industry is leading to increased transport volumes in this area. For the current year we expect a stable development of the transports. As a strong group, we were able to acquire new projects and further expand our customers’ trust in our network. BigMove goes full speed ahead in 2021. ”

Expansion. BigMove Projekt GmbH relies on the expansion of the partner network. With new locations in Europe as well as the Middle East and Central Asia, heavy transports can now be coordinated and handled by ship overseas and by road via BigMove. This increases the range of services and offers customers a fully comprehensive service, even for international heavy lift projects. The expansion of the network underlines the competence and trust in BigMove Projekt GmbH. The new locations are among others in Sweden, Belarus, Russia, Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.

Assembly. BigMove sets standards with an extraordinary assembly project. Two water tanks with a diameter of 2.72 meters and 5 meters in length had to be replaced in a thermal power station. The challenge was to lift the two 1.3-ton and 1.8-ton containers within a very cramped hall, move them out of storage and bring in the new tanks. The heavy lift experts used an electric crane and two half-shells with armored rollers to lift, retrieve, position and adjust the heavy objects. With the use of the CO2-neutral equipment, the work inside the hall could be carried out silently and emission-free. Due to the space available and the narrow entrance and exit, the containers were placed horizontally lengthways and brought into position for removal. The new water tanks were installed within two days. Precise planning in advance was necessary for the implementation of the project.

Fleet. BigMove is further expanding its fleet with six new Samson 2.0 vehicles. The new fleet vehicles are characterized by particularly reliable and robust technology and have a variable payload of 50 to 80 tons. The vehicles can be configured as five or seven axles as required. Within the BigMove group, vehicles with a single telescope with or without excavator trough as well as double telescope variants are available. The extremely flat and long drive-on ramps for loading and unloading tracked and rubber vehicles as well as a very low dead weight enable a high payload. The versatile and variable vehicle constellations can be used flexibly. In addition, loads can be transported nationwide, as all Samson 2.0 vehicles within the BigMove Group are of the same type. This and the existing route network permits on relevant main routes offer customers significant time savings when transporting heavy goods.

Digital route planning. The new laser measuring system from genRob ONE enables almost perfect advance planning of routes for heavy transports. With the genRob ONE system, BigMove offers another service for optimizing heavy goods transport. The system is attached directly to a car and records all route data via 360o video. Immediately after recording, the data is digitally transferred to a cloud and can be accessed on any PC via a web application. At a speed of up to 90 km/h, the laser measurement system records all route-relevant data. These include heights, widths and curves of the respective route. With the exact evaluation of the local conditions, heavy transports can be safely and reliably planned and carried out.

Planning 2022. BigMove will be present at Breakbulk Europe in Rotterdam from May 17th to 19th, 2022, booth 2G64-H65.
