Strong partnership against driver shortage

Hamburg transport company TKS Ludwig cooperates with the Academy Logistics Transport & Profession

Hamburg – October 21, 2015 – In order to counteract the industry-wide shortage of drivers, the Hamburg transport company TKS Ludwig relies on a cooperation with the Academy Logistics Transport & Profession, abbreviated ALT: B. Through the partnership with an academy and the associated renowned driving school in Wenk, prospective professional drivers already get the opportunity to get to know the specialists for swap body transports, general cargo and parcel transports. TKS Ludwig wants to use the cooperation to recruit its future drivers and bind them to the family business in the long term.

In the cooperation, both the professional perspective as well as the practical training of young drivers are in the foreground. During the four-month training in the ALT: B, interested people can complete a professional internship at TKS Ludwig. In the internship, which lasts four to six weeks, the new trainees get an insight into the practice and their future professional environment. An intensive care of the learner drivers by the driving school teachers and the employees of the transport company ensures the high quality of the training.

Sandra Ludwig, Managing Director TKS Ludwig, is happy to have gained a strong partner for the cooperation with the Academy Logistics Transport & Profession and thus to be able to specifically expand the topic of promoting young talent. Through the cooperation, she hopes to inspire prospective truck drivers for their company and to meet the personnel requirements in the long term.

With the joint offer of a particularly qualified and practice-oriented training in Hamburg, both companies set a milestone to tackle the future driver shortage.
