Seeland makes Careers

Gustav Seeland founds his own academy for prospective heavyweight experts

Hamburg – July 31, 2019 – Just in time for the start of the 2019/2020 training year, the Hamburg heavy goods logistics company Gustav Seeland founded the Seeland Academy to promote young talents. At the Hamburg location, the Academy guarantees a perfect start to the professional life and a qualified education.

The promotion of young talent covers all areas of the company such as heavy and special transports, crane work, industrial assembly, heavy goods storage and engineering. With the founding of the Academy, Gustav Seeland opens up excellent career opportunities for the aspiring heavyweight experts. At the same time, future employees are to be tied to the company in the long term.

At the Seeland Academy, both the professional perspective and the practical and cross-company training of young talents are in the foreground. During the mostly three-year training, the young professionals get an insight into the practice and their future professional environment. They receive special training and go through various departments of the company. According to the motto “We promote your talents”, competent mentors should recognize potential and promote professional development. National and international practical elements also ensure a high level of training for the future merchants for forwarding and logistics services, professional drivers and automotive mechatronics. Stations at partner companies of the BigMove network give the 9 apprentices the opportunity to get to know other heavy lift companies.

“When training our staff, we attach great importance to respectful interaction, community, responsibility and innovation,” says Johann Evers, Managing Director, Gustav Seeland GmbH. “Because we live flat hierarchies, are open to suggestions for improvement and new ideas regardless of the position in the company.”

With the founding of the academy, Seeland offers a particularly qualified and practice-oriented education and sets a milestone for future personnel development in the heavy goods sector.
