Ready for a Better Future

Logistics company Gustav Seeland invests in environmental and climate protection

Hamburg – April 26, 2021 – With investments in new hybrid vehicles, Gustav Seeland GmbH is setting new standards in terms of climate protection and sustainability. With three new specialist cranes, the existing Seeland hybrid fleet is being expanded to a total of seven vehicles. In this way, the Hamburg-based heavy-goods transportation logistics company is facing up to the challenges of the future when it comes to climate and environmental protection. By acquiring environmentally and climate-friendly vehicles, Gustav Seeland GmbH is once again living up to its pioneering role as a reliable environmental partner of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg. The focus in expanding the emission-free fleet is on efficiency and climate protection.

The three new specialist cranes in the Seeland hybrid fleet operate emission-free. Almost silent and without exhaust gases, with their electric drives they can be used anywhere conventional vehicles reach their limits. Whether it is for projects in insufficiently ventilated industrial warehouses or for work in sensitive noise protection zones—the new emission-free vehicles offer an environmentally friendly solution for every project.

With the expansion of the Seeland hybrid fleet from four to seven specialist electro-hydraulic cranes, the Hamburg logistics company now has an environmentally friendly answer for every task. A new compact pick & carry crane, for example, allows heavy loads to be moved in the most cramped of spaces. The two new vehicles, the “Little Giraffe”—with integrated loading space—and the crawler crane “Scorpion,” also stand out due to how compact they are. Their terrain is cramped downtown locations, industrial warehouses, and areas where noise protection and emission-free work are required.

With the new vehicles, which expand the hybrid fleet, Gustav Seeland GmbH is carrying out its green transformation and making climate protection and sustainability a corporate goal. “By investing in the new hybrid vehicles, we are offering the market smart solutions for complex tasks and equipping the company for the future. At the same time, the use of the new machines offers us a unique selling point and allows customers to implement emission-free projects with us,” says Seeland CEO Johann Evers.

THINK GREEN, ACT BLUE. Gustav Seeland GmbH remains committed to that motto and, with its actions, has shown itself to be a reliable member of the UmweltPartnerschaft Hamburg. ÖKOPROFIT certification should be complete by the middle of the year. By participating in the program, Gustav Seeland GmbH is looking to once again demonstrate its strong commitment to environmental and climate protection.
